Indy Eleven have recently acquired midfielder Cam Lindley. Lindley is a former IFA standout whom later attended the University of North Carolina from 2016-17. Following his sophomore season in 2017, in which he earned the ACC Midfielder of the Year award, and a First-Team All-ACC Team honor, Lindley turned pro. He signed with Major League Soccer’s Orlando City SC.
Indy Eleven Head Coach Martin Rennie said, “Cam Lindley is one of the most talented players to come out of Central Indiana in recent years, so it’s very nice to be able to bring him home.” He went on to add, “Cam brings great technical ability and creativity to an already talented and very deep corps of midfielders.”
Cameron Lindley spent his entire youth career at the Indiana Fire organization since the age of 7. He was the youngest player to join the Development Academy playing 3 years up. He was quickly recognized by US Soccer as the primary midfielder in the country, hense served with the U15, U17, U20, and U23 National Teams. Lindley’s former Academy Director & Coach, Phil Presser had this to say: "Cameron was a very gifted technical player with a tactical understanding of the game uncomparable to others his age. The way he manipulated opponents strategically was acceptional. In the youth academy he was known for making plays higher up the field and creating goals."
