The Indiana Fire Juniors employs a full-time Director of Sports Perforamance and Athletic Training as part of our sponsorship agreement with IU Health/Methodist Sports Medicine. The Director is responsible for overseeing care and development of athletes from all travel teams. Services provided include:
Meet Joel Lockhart:
Joel graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. He completed a two year Graduate Assistantship at Illinois Wesleyan University while completing his Masters of Science Degree in Kinesiology and Recreation-Athletic Training at Illinois State University. While at Illinois Wesleyan University, he primarily worked as the Athletic Trainer for their men's soccer, men's track & field and the 2016 NCAA Division III National Champion Women's Track & Field teams. He is a Certified Athletic Trainer through the National Athletic Trainer’s Association and Licensed to practice in Indiana.
Meet Courtney Adams:
Courtney graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Athletic Training from Ball State University in Muncie. Her undergraduate education included the clinical study of athletic training for Ball State basketball, football, baseball and track and field; three different high schools; and an internship with World Domination Basketball training for professional and college athletes. Courtney also did observational study under an orthopedic doctor at Henry Community Health. After graduation, Courtney worked at Grand Park as one of Methodist Sports Medicine's full-time athletic trainers. She is a Certified Athletic Trainer through the National Athletic Trainer's Association and Licensed to practice in Indiana.
